STATE COMPETITION
INDUSTRY'S ATTITtJDE
(Viy Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. W. J. Mount joy, secretary of the Wellington Employers' Association, stated to-day that the building trade is opposed to the Government establishing joinery factories in connection with its housing scheme. The New Zealand Federated Builders' Association is combining with the Timber Merchants' Association in representations to the Government opposing State competition with private enterprise in the building industry.
