The Union Company's pas--3 conger steamer Marama arrived from Sydney at 7.40 a.m. and is at the Queen s , I wharf. She will leave at 5 p.m. toil morrow for Wellington, and leaves that 1 port on Friday for Sydney. The motor • | ship Port Hobart arrived early this JI morning from Liverpool, which port she [ left on July 20. She berthed at the j! Queen's whar.f this morning and is djscharging general cargo. A shipment of 10 Clydesdale horses from Scotland forms part of her cargo and will be going on to Wellington with the ship, which leaves on Friday. The horses are in splendid condition. The port is quite brisk. In addition to general intercolonial and coastal cargo vessels, there are seven big overseas ships berthed at the three main wharves. Golden Bear arrived in port early this morning from Pacific Coast and is discharging at the Central wharf. _ She leaves for Wellington and Australia on Thursday. (H. and M.) Port Hunter, which arrived from Gisborne on Sunday, is completing her loading at the Queen's wharf, and sails on Friday evening for London, via Panama and Curacao. (Farmers' Co-op.) Canberra Maru will arrive from Wellington on Saturday for final loading fo-r Japan, via Australia. (Farmers' Co-op.) Cambridge, which arrived early on Sunday from Opua, is expected to leave for Napier to-morrow night to continue loading for London. (N.Z.S. Co.) Rangitane, which arrived yesterday morning at Wellington from London, is expected to leave on Thursday evening for Auckland and is due here on Saturday. (N.Z.S. Co.) Limerick, which arrived on Sunday from Pacific Coast ports, will leave for Wellington at 4 p.m. to-day. (U.S.S. Co.) Kairanga sails at noon to-morrow for Melbourne and Adelaide to load for New Zealand ports. (U.S.S. Co.) Awatea is due at Wellington on Thursday morning from the Clyde.
