NORTHCOTE BALL.
LEAGUE FOOTBALL CLUB,
An enjoyable ball was held in the King's Theatre at Nortlicote last night to mark the 20th anniversary of the Northcote and Birkenhead League Football Club.
The ladies committee comprised Mrs. P. V. May, whose frock was of pink lace; Mrs. C. Moore, wearing shell pink georgette; Mrs. H. Moore, pink jumper suit; Mrs. I. G. Bartulovich, blue marocain; Mrs. L. Watson, green jumper suit; and Miss E. Ogg, daffodil lace. Daffodils, freesias and Iceland poppies were daintily arranged on the supper tables, which were also adorned with the black and gold colours of the club. The master of ceremonies was Mr. C. J. W. Taylor. Miss Margaret O'Connor and Mr. E. Priestley, of Auckland, gave a display of ballroom dancing, and the spot dance was won by Miss M. Lever and Mr. Bishop.
