Consolidated Bricks were close to bu ness between 9/9 and 9/11, while buye of Union Oils dropped back 3d, to £1 10/ Government stocks were again in steai demand, and a parcel of '46's was availat at £104, and one of '49's at £106. Cautious Tone at Noon. There was still a cautious tone at noo and the sales list reflected fairly, steat values within limited scope. New Zealai Newspapers were most active at u changed rates. G. J. Coles and Woolwort (X.Z.) both advanced, the former sharpl almost reaching their former peak. The were still buyers at the new figure,'wit no later sellers. The industrial section generally showi numerous blanks in buyers' qquotation and margins were generally wide. In the banking buyers of* Commercia moved up Id.
