The Pakuranga Hunt met at Clevedon on Saturday, and, although no kills were made, the scent a'nd going were good ; and an excellent day's sport was enjoyed. j. he hunt followers were entertained at breakfast and afternoon tea in the Clevedon Hall by the ladies of the district. Hounds threw off on Mr. W. Gore's property, where they quickly put up a hare.It ran on to Mr. E. Graham's farm, and ' then out to the Takanini Road, where } it was lost. A second hare was put up , on Mr. E. Graham's property, and took i the hunt for a long run, crossing the properties of Messrs. J. Lane, J. H. Noone t and H. G. Garland, and then running over I the Papakura Road into Mr. M. Wilson's farm, there it made a wide circle, coming back over Mr. J. Farrer's property, and 'then crossing" several other properties. Finally, she led the hounds down the Papakura Road to Mr. H. Bull's farm, where they had to be stopped on account of sheep and lambs. The order for home was then given.
