SWEET PEAS.
Seeds of these can be sown during the course of the next few weeks. Some growers use small paper pots, and sow on© seed in each pot, which is a very good method if space allows for it. Excellent results, however, can be obtained by sowing in boxes, or several seeds in a larger pot. If stood in a sheltered position on a verandah, or protected by glass, the seeds soon germinate, but the young plants must be protected from the birds and slugs.
