TE AROHA HORSES.
MTJNGATOON'S CONDITION. PAKURANGA 5 CANDIDATES. The Te Aroha horses accepted for at the Pakuranga meeting are Mazir, Lagoon and King Musk. The firstnamed is in the Dunedin Handicap of six furlongs, as it is considered he is not yet ready to race over a mile and a quarter. The same applies to King Musk, but Lagoon "will run in the Jellieoe Handicap, as she had only a short respite from work following her Opotiki Cup victory. •• .. Mungatoon is moving as well as ever in his track work. Throughout, his career the Musketoon. gelding lias kept remarkably sound, ;both in wind and. limb, and he js quite likely run prominently this sea-ji-son, especially as his owner, generally places his horses ,to-advantage. The Te Aroha Jockey , Club retiring officials have been again nominated for various offices, and as no other nominations were received an election will not be necessary at the annual meeting to be held toward the end of the present month. Gay Rose may be given her first outing in public this season at the Taumarunui fixture, to be held at Paeroa.
