FAILED TO ACCOUNT.
SALESMAN FOR SENTENCE
Four charges of fraudulently omitting to account for sums totalling £7 10/0, thereby committing theft, were admitted by Stanley William George Wills,'a salesman, aged 23, in 'the Police Court yesterday.
Senior Detective Hall said Wills was eight weeks ago engaged by- a band committee to organise a carnival. He received 1 £1 10/ per week, and was to receive 12A- per.cent at the end of the carnival. "He .is a single man. and most of the money he converted to his own use was spent on liquor," added Mr. Hall. "He has never been in any trouble before and is now endeavouring to obtain work on a farm."
The magistrate remanded Wills until August 20 for sentence, after calling for a report from the probation officer.
