NEW BRIDGE PLANNED.
REMOVAL OF A «TRAP." (From Our Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, Friday. Reference to the fatal accident at the Waitoki bridge last week was made by the chairman of the Ohinemuri County Council, -Mr. W. Marshall, at a meeting of the council yesterday.
The coroner had commented upon the state of the bridge and had called it a trap, said Mr. Marshall. The chairman suggested that plans and specifications for a new bridge over the Waitoki stream, and also over the Kurere stream on the Thames road, should be prepared. The engineer was authorised to proceed with the drawing up of plans and specifications.
