AVONDALE TENNIS CLUB.
ANNUAL BALL. There was a good attendance at the Avondale Tennis Club's annual ball held in the Avondale Town Hall this week. A demonstration of modern ballroom dancing was given by the principals of the Stratton School of Dancing.
The committee comprised: Mrs. Yallop, wearing Nile green satin; Mrs. Gott, black and silver lame; Mrs. Rayner, violet velvet; Mrs. Buchanan, ivory satin; Mrs. R. Meeks, ivory cloque; Miss Potter, green figured chiffon; Miss B. Porritt, ivory taffeta; Mass M. Myers, black shirred taffeta; Miss E. Wilson, cream taffeta; Miss D. Clement, ciel blue crepe satin.
