HAMILTON ROAD WORKS
EE-ENGAGEMENT LATER
(By Telegraph. —-Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day,
Advice has been received by Mr. C. A. Barrell. M P., from the Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, that the Public Works Department had to dispense with the services of a number of men on the road works in the Hamilton district owing to the winter conditions. As soon as new works Were commenced these men would be re-employed. Five new jobs were scheduled for the Hamilton district, and unemployed married men in Hamilton would be placed on them.
