SPECIAL COMPETITION. COLLEGIATE GAMES TO-MORROW. THAMES H.S. V. SACRED HEART. With the Auckland representatives playing at Wellington to-morrow, and the next fifteen fielding at Pukekolie, the Rugby programme to-morrow comprises the third series of games in the special competition run on the lines of the Bert Palmer . Memorial Cup. Pride of place has, however, i)een given to the collegiate contest between Sacred Heart College and Thames High School. The curtain-raiser to this engagement, on No. 1, Eden Park, will be the women's hockey match between Fiji and Auckland Province. The new senior competition is based on points for general qualities as well as for playing ability. Points are awarded for loyalty to captain and conduct on and off the field, -punctuality at kick-off and at half-time, and adherence to rules and spirit of the game. In the event of two or more teams being level at the conclusion of the competition, the deciding factor in arriving at the winner will be the number of points scored for and against. A maximum of 30 points per game will be allowed, subdivided thus: Excellent, 27 to 30 (15 each for a draw);'very good, 22 to 26; good, 18 to 2.1; very fair, 14 to 17; fair, 10 to 13; weak, under 10. Games arranged for to-morrow in the "spirit of the game" encounters are:— University v. Grafton, Eden Park, No. 2, 1.30 p.m.: Technical v. College Rifles, Three Kings, 3 p.m.; Otahuhu v. Grammar, Sturges Park, 3 p.m.; Marist v. Manukau, Onehunga. No. 1, 3 p.m.; North Shore v. Training College, North Shore, No. 1, 3 p.m. Senior Second Division engagements:— Kden v. Marist, St. Helier's, 3 p.m.; University v. Parnell, Victoria Park, No. 1. 3 p.m.; Manukau v. Takapuna. Eden Park, No. 3, 3 p.m.; Suburbs, a bye.
