RED CROSS SOCIETY.
A meeting of the Auckland Centre committee of the New Zealand Red Cross Society was held on Monday evening, when Mr. T. McNab, Mayor of Mount Eden, was elected chairman of the committee. There was a full attendance. The president, Sir James Gunson, presided. The work of the centre was fully reviewed, and delegates to the joint committee to be reformed with St. John were appointed to represent the Red Cross Society on the reformed joint committee for war work, which includes the Evelyn Firth Home. The names of the members are as follow: Miss C. J. Murray Mrs. Austin Carr, Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, Mrs. A. M. Ferguson, Mrs. M. E. McComb, Mr. H. T. Goldie, Mr. T. McNab, Mr. G. H. Fleming, Mr. J. W. Kendall, Mr. H. J. White, Mr. C. M. McCullough and Mr. G. T. Paterson. Sub-committees weye appointed as follows: —Depot committee, Mesdames M. E. McComb, Austin Carr and W. J. Johnston; peace time committee, Mrs. Key Jones, Mrs. J. W. Sharman, Miss C. J. Murray, Mr. Paterson, and Mr. J. Molloy; finance committee, Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, Mrs. A. M. Ferguson, Mr. T. McNab, M r - C. M. McCullough, and Mr. H. T. Goldie. •
