A PRESENTATION.
A large gathering of members of the Mount Eden Methodist Ladies' Guild assembled at the residence of the president, Mrs. T. Clark, for tie > August meeting, when opportunity was taken' to farewell Miss Mina Dallow, who, on account of removal from the district, has been obliged to resign her position as secretary of this organisation. In appreciative words, the Rev. F. J Parker, minister-in-charge, referred to the deyoted and faithful services Mifw Dallow had rendered in the various activities of the church through many .vent's. On behalf of the members Mrs. Clark presented Miss Dallow with a handbag, at the same time voicing the general regret felt at her severing her connection with the church. During the afternoon the Rev. S. J, Werren, from
the Kingsland Methodist Church, gave a devotional address on "The Need of Expression of the Chrißtlatl Life." A miscellaneous programme was also con tributed as follows:—Vocal solos by Mrs. C. Wiseman and Miss Gladys Brooke; elocutionary item by Miss Gladys Griffith; thought for the month by Mrs. E. Gray. The function concluded with afternoon tea, dispensed by the hostesses, Meadamee Chris. Burton, T. Calev, W. Stewart and J. Tyler, and Miss Reid.
