The Hon. C. J. Carrington, M.L.C., left for Wellington last night. Mr. W. R. Fee left for Wellington by the Limited express last night. Mr. C. H. T. Palmer left for Wellington by the Limited express last night. Mr. A. High, of London, arrived in Auckland to-day. Hp is at the Station Hotel. Mr. W. Thomas, district governor of Rotary (New Zealand), of Timaru, and an ex-district governor, Mr. H. Guthrie, of Dunedin, have just returned from America where they attended the annual world conference of Rotary at Atlantic City. The Rev. J. Ernest Rattenbury, D.D., of England, president of the National Free Church Council, who is under engagement as the centenary preacher to the Pirie Street Methodist Church, Adelaide, arrives by the Mariposa tomorrow and will be entertained by the Methodist .ministers' fraternal at luncheon. Mr. M. R. Cable, who recently obtained the degree of doctor of dental surgery at the North-Western University, Chicago, lias been granted an interne scholarship at the Forsyth Dental Infirmary for Children at Boston, . Massachusetts, according to advice received bv Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Cable, of ITataitni. The infirmary, which is recognised as the forem >st children's dentistry institution in America, awards annually 15 scholar ships to students who have qualified in universities throughout the United States.
