MINIATURE RIFLES.
AUCKLAND CLUB,
There was an excellent attendance at the weekly meeting of the Auckland Miniature Rifle Club held in the clubrooms, Ponsonby, on Tuesday evening. The shooting was of a high standard and keen contests were witnessed. Scores returned (possible 80) :—B. Crocker, SO, ser—SO; R. T. Warnock, 80, scr—SO : J. F. Kelly, 7!), scr —70; J. Maney, 7!), 2—SO ; C. E. Bush. 7S, 1—70; M. .T. Rennie., 7S. 3 —=So : T. G. Sauvarin, 77, 1—78: V. Dromgool, 70, 1—77; A. Gambling, 7G, 3—79 ; J. A. Cossgrove, 7(i, S—SO: S. Catclipole, 7f>, S—SO; F. Sauvarin, 75, 3—78 ; J. Boyd, 75. S—SO; A. Warnock, 74, 10—SO ; A. J. Scarrott, 73. 3—7(i: J. M. Cossar, 72, 10—SO; It. Fellows, 71, S —7!). B. Crocker and R. T. Warnock were shooting brilliantly during the evening, both registering two possibles thus necessitating a, shoot-off for the president's badge, which B. Crocker won by a margin of one point." The handicap button awarded to the rh-JOter with a handicap of two or more who registers the best score (including handicap) 'was won outright by S. Catclipole, with a possible and 7S. Next wr.-k the winner of the third monthly trophy will be decided. This should prove very interesting as there are already two members with 240 points which is the possible score, there are also three other members who are still able to secure the possible next week and so qualify to shoot for the trojiliy.
