LADIES AUXILIARY MEETING

Sir George Richardson presided at the annual meeting of the Community Sunshine Association Ladies' Auxiliary which was held at the Sunshine School, Nelson Street, and was well attended. The annual report showed that members had been very active during the year and many functions undertaken. The Winter Show stall resulted in £70 3/6. The Overseas League arranged a bridge party in aid of the association's funds, and forwarded a cheque for £8 10/. A two day's fair held in September brought in £72 10/1. A successful bridge party was held at the Peter Pan. Sir George Richardson paid a tribute to the ladies for the wonderful work done during the year and for the satisfactory and pleasing record. It was stated that the Mothers' Club raised sufficient funds to endow a cot at the Auckland Hospital.
