MINISTER IMPRESSED. DESIRE TO RESTORE BUSH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Gratification was expressed to-day by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, at the result of the wide appeal made for the practical commemoration of Arbor Day to-morrow. Mr. Parry said that communications from many parts of both islands had reached him testifying to there being a greater working interest shown now than ever before, by the different sections of people, in all that Arbor Day signified. The Minister said that great headway was being made in reafforestation and beautification work, which was long overdue in certain of the cities and provincial towns of the Dominion. "From local bodies and native bush loving citizens in many parts of the Dominion have come advices of their energetic interest in the Arbor Day commemoration to-morrow." he said. "These messages are all gratifying and encouraging. They inspire a new hope in the minds of every true lover of our ' glorious native bush, that at last something big and practical is_ on the way toward the protection of Xew z £^ res tanative bush, anrl ill contion and beautification WOT " n „ en dered, vinced that the spirit a nd tree in the fnsterinjr of tree p depth an( * protection, will .*P r *» ch the children breadth and r t The work is I tljrouqh A to the nation. | essential ana P
