WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as f ar south as Taui'anga, Kawliia and Hamilton:—Moderate to strong northerly winds of galo force in places, backing to westerly or south-westerly after about 1G hours. Weather cloudy and unsettled with rain at times. Seas moderate but rising. The first of a series of rather vigorous westerly depressions is now crossing the Dominion. Forecast for Dominion. For 24 hours from 0 a.m. this day: The indications are for moderate to strong northerlies; after about 10 hours backing to west or south-west. The weather appears likely to lie cloudy and unsettled; rain probable at times. Banoi meter falling slowly. Seas moderate but increasing. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: [ Wind, north-north-east, fresh; sea moderate; weather overcast and gloomy; I visibility good; barometer steady.
