FINES AT PAPAKURA,
LICENSES ENDORSED.
"While playing golf I received an urgent call that my father had taken a serious heart turn and had asked to see me," stated Francis Clough Blundell, medical practioneer, of Te Awamutu, in a letter to the Papakura Court explaining his reasons for speeding between Papatoetoe and Otaliulm on June 20. Traffic Inspector F. Jones, of the Manukau County Council, said defendant passed him at the Papatoetoe school tiavelling at a dangerous speed of 52 miles an hour, which increased to G4 miles an hour near the brewery The magistrate, Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M, Jmod defendant £5, and his license was endorsed.
John J.
