ITALIANS HARASSED. United Tress Association. —Copyright. (Received 11.30 a.m.) PARIS, August 4. Reports have reached Paris to the effect that Abyssmians liave practically besieged Addis Ababa. It is stated that Italians are rushing reinforcements by air from Diredawa to the capital.
A message from Port Said states that Dr. Tekla Hawariat, who attained prominence iii the course of the ItaloAbyssinian war as Abyssinian Minister in Paris, commands a column entrenched to support an attack on Italians near Addis Ababa, where the situation is reported to be more critical.
A furious battle is continuing on a front extending thence to Gondar, via Lake Tsana, mostly of a guerilla nature except where large forces face one another. It is expected Addis Ababa will be harried by raiders throughout the rainy season.
