MAMMOTH BATHS.

HEART OF LONDON. SUMMER ALL THE YEAR. (Special.—By Air Mail.) LONDOX, July 11. Plans are being invited from architects all over the world for a mammoth swimming palace and palm court that is to be built in Holborn, the very heart of London. About £100.000 is to be spent 011 the scheme. Staff swimming clubs of the Bank of England many of the Government Departments and the great insurance offices use the present baths, which will be the scene of the new pool. One of the largest swimming organisations in Europe—a club formed for the Jewish refugees in London —has its headquarters there, and the annual attendance is 380,000. The smaller of the two swimming pools lias been in existence S7 years, and is one of the oldest in the country. In the new baths there will be a proper polo course. Thcj-e will also be facilities for high diving. All the year round a summer atmosphere will be maintained.
