FALL INTO HARBOUR.
JUMP FOR FERRY STEAMER
While attempting to jump on to tho Devonport ferry steamer Toroa as it was leaving the city at 10 o'clock last night, a young man missed his grip and foil into the water. Fortunately, he did not strike any obstruction.
The mate of the vessel, Mr. ,T. Pitcher, threw the man a line and quickly hauled him on board. The man lost a carpenter's saw, which he was carrying under his arm.
