PRICES IN BRITAIN.
IMPROVEMENT CONTINUES.
Wholesale prices in Great Britain have shown a steady improvement for more than two months. For the fortnight ended July 22, according to the "Economist" index, all groups except miscellaneous produce (rubber, timber, oils, etc.) showed a further advance. The complete index, taking the. .year 1927 as 100, stood at 71.6, compared with 68.1 on July 31, 1935.
