SEED MARKETS.
INQUIRIES FROM LONDON. Consequent on a lengthy period of wet weather in several of the seed-producing counties in Great Britain, inquiries are now being received from London for t>e\eial varieties of seeds, principally ryegrass, cowgrass and dogstail (says t'iie Otago Daily Times"). So far little business, if any, has resulted, but the inquiries have been sufficient to create a farmer tendency, especially as the stocks or ryegrass, cowgrass and dogstail are not heavy. The fescue market remains stationary and there has been little aleralion m values during the week. Brown top is still neglected. It is apparent that there will be no easing in the cocksfoot market, as the demand for' this seed is such as to _ ensure that there will be no carry-over into next season.
