D.S., Kaiwaka, has sent in Tart I. of the kayak. I have forwarded It to an Inquirer. He would like the plans of the Tauranga 7-footer yacht. I still have a few sets of templates or the bulkheads of this craft, Cd a set, posted. A.G., Paeroa, mentions that the William \ing world record model, the plans of which appeared some weeks back in the "Star," seems to Jbe different to a photograph or it that was published In the August, 1935, "Model Aeroplane News." Well, the plans I gave were authentic ones, and that's all I can say. I am building one or these myself, and would like to hear how this correspondent and any others get on with It.

G.E.F., Raglan, wants to know more ■about the covering: or the kayak. About lib of tlie best casein glue is required. This costs 4/ per lb. Casein glue can be purchased much more cheaply, but I do not recommend it Tor this job. The kayalc should be given a coat or dope or paint Inside as well as out, and this will very effectively stop any trouble from the water affecting the covering. Mix the casein up in a big dish and apply with a whitewash brush, or even with the hands. Lightweight wants to know whether microfilm-covered models need recovering after every contest. Actually I have seen microfilm-covered machines that have "stayed put" ior several months, but when entering a contest the keen builder will not leave anything to chance. The covering gets a little brittle, and is Inclined to split, so practically speaking it is necessary to cover just before the meeting and not reckon on the film being much good arter a week.
