SUNBEAMS AT SCHOOL.
SPLENDID GIFTS RECEIVED. Both town and country schools were well to the fore this week with some specially welcome gifts of patches and clothing from their busy pupils. The Kohimarajna primers were first 011 the scene with a parcel of 30 patches, a pair of gumboots, two pairs of shoes, two pairs of slippers and a beret. Next came the little folk of the Waipipi School, also with 30 patches. We thank Pruu for her nicely written little letter and send all sorts of good wishes to those little friends of ours at Waipipi. Two new names were this week added to our li*t of school helpers—the Papatoetoe School first of all, when Winnie and Lesley, of standard VI., sent us •13 patches, some lining and 011 c pram quilt, and the Oneliunga Public School, when standard I.b knitted lis 37 patches. Greetings and our warmest thanks to these busy school children for all their efforts on behalf of little ones less fortunate than themselves. •
