Dear Sunbeams,— £ aS ' n ' me ' a cheery Sunbeam in a suburban iramcar. "My word, Wendy," she said blithely, clubs are all the rage these days, aren't they?" I smiled at her cheery slang, but inwardly agreed with her. Clubs certainly are the rage. The period during which clubs have been in course of formation has not been without its trials. One week in particular We registered eighteen clubs—an exhausing Week that, as you can Well imagine. Having in the course of two hours thought of twelve new club names, and having seemingly exhausted every possible name foi a sunshine club—having done all this, in despair I turned to Peter Pan. A name for a club," said Peter Pan unperturbed, "goodness me, what a fuss about a little thing like a club name. Call it—lei me see—call it the 'Busy Bees" He said this so grandly that I felt quite pleased at being able to tell him crushingly that We had only had seven clubs this winter desiring to be krtown by the popular appendage "Busy Bees." Too bad, ' said Peter Pan cheerfully. "Well we must try again—the 'Knitting Club.' " Oh, for goodness sake," I said. "Taken long ago." Well, said Peter Pan, looking a bit crestfallen and casting about for inspiration, "let's call it the— the—the 'Apple Club.' " The postman had passed our door; he Was eating an apple. The Apple Club! I could only gaze mutely. The Apple Club! Needless to say the Apple Club never eventuated. Tin!( and I put our heads together and thought out quite a nice name. (Very Weak I thought it.—P.P.) However, joking aside, dear Sunbeams, it. has been a period of much fun and much hard work. We have now 14J clubs registered at Sunshine House, and as probably half the names originated at the Peter Pan office, you can Well imagine that the problem of club names really did become acuteOnly a short letter this week, dear girls, but We are all in a great J » ~ hustle at ounb eamland, and there is no time for more. » , Cood luck to my sunshine clubs,
