PONSONBY CRUISING CLUB.
The Ponsonby Cruising Club will hold their annual presentation of nrizes next Thursday evening at the Peter Pan caharet. In common with the other local clubs, the club experienced a successful season. On one occasion the weather was unkind and blew half a gale for the Lipton Cup race, which reduced the starters considera-bly in the other events.
The club pays out cash prizes as well as trophies, of which a number of cups arc features. The principal cup winners were Lipton Cup. Valeria, representing the Naval Sailing Club; Tlewson Memorial Cup. Tauhau, N. Pollard: W. J. Winter Cup, Spray. Fcrrcll and Mackay : Hughes and Cossar Cup, Valeria, T. McWhirter: Roy Johnston Cup, Paroro, E. Nieliolls; Rahiri Cup, won outright by Mania, Ron L. Gurr; the cup for the S class was won by Namu, W. Ramsay; and there is a long list of other winners. The prizes will be presented at 9.15 p.m., and all who attend are assured of a pleasant evening.
