IMPROVEMENT IN COLES. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHUKCH, this day. At a dull call very few sales were recorded. The most notable feature was a drop in the price of I'rocera Bread shares, which, after a recent burst to £1 10/3, sold down to £1 11/, the market closing with buyers £1 10/ and sellers £1 11/9. There was no business in the early sections of the cull, though Bank of New Zealands were quoted close, from buyers £2 to sellers £2 0/2. Kaiapoi Wool (17/ paid) eased a fraction, to 14/11. Values were mostly unchanged iu the miscellaneous stocks, with Hume Pipes holding to £1 0/10. G. .T. Coles looked better, with a market finishing between £3 17/7 and £3 18/, but otherwise there was little of interest, Kauri Timbers remaining at late rates, and Whitcombe and Tombs appearing slightly easier, with unsupported sellers at £3 4/0. Woolworths (Sydney, ord.) sold freely at £5 .11/, with further buyers offering at that price.
