JAPANESE EIGHT IN FORM. STROKING 54 TO THE MINUTE. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 2. The Japanese eight beat the Quintin Club crew in the fifth heat of the Henley Grand Challenge Cup by two lengths, in 7.41, the slowest time of the day. The Japanese once were rowing 54 strokes to the minute.
