LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
TO-MORROW'S GAMES
PROMISE OF KEEN PLAY.
RICHMOND V. MOUNT ALBERT
With so few points separating the majority of the teams in the senior competition, the matches arranged by the Auckland Rugby League for to-morrow should again -be full of interest. Richniond, last year's •winners of the championship, and Mount Albert, their old rivals, are drawn to meet in the main game of the day, and play promises to be ot the fast, open and fascinating kind. Richmond, after their exhibition last Saturday, when they showed fine collaboration, look rike carrying the day, but the indications are that tney will have to fight all the way to get the verdict, as -Mount Albert are at their best when the opposition is toughest. The curtainraiser will bo provided by Pons on by and , anukau, and here again the competition should be 01 the keenest, with the result 111 the balance to the end. Both sides ha\e had reverses in recent matches and will be out to avoid losing their grip on the championship.
Across on >so. 2 ground the first game will be staged by City and Newton and, with the former side improving steadily, an interesting contest should result. Marist and Devonport will be featured 111 the late encounter and here again the issue should 'be in doubt until the end. Lower grade competitions will be further advanced.
