FOUR CHARGES.
MOTOR CYCLIST IN COURT. "YOU ARE LUCKY." "You are lucky. If the charge of negligent driving had been proceeded with, you might have lost your license for a time," Mr; P. K. ; Hunt, S.M., told a motor cyclist who appeared in the Magistrate's Court this morning 011 four charges of breaches of traffic by-laws. The defendant, A. J. Clark, waterside worker, having pleaded not guilty to a charge of negligent driving. Senior Sergeant Flanagan, who prosecuted, said that two witnesses, fttre being a, a cyclist; with whom accused collided,had failed to appear and the charge therefore could not be proceeded with.
Pleading guilty to charges of carrying two passengers on the pillion of r his machine, of having an inefficient'silencer and of having inefficient lights, defendant was fined 10/ and costs on each of the three ■ charges.
