PREVENTION OF CRUELTY.
Keen appreciation was expressed at the monthly ladies' meeting, of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at the action of the Newmarket Borough Council in allowing a street collection, and it is anticipated that the funds of the society will benefit considerably by their generosity. Final arrangements for the forthcoming bridge afternoon were also discussed, while plans were completed for the stall at the Winter Show.
