LABOUR PARTY DANCE.

The Mangere East branch of the New Zealand Labour party held a successful dance in the local hall on Wednesday evening, when about 120 people danced to music supplied by Mrs. FletclicrMathews' dunce band. The duties of master of ceremonies were ably carried out by Mr. Piper. Mr. Petrie, M-P- f° r Hauraki, presented the prizes for the novelty dances as follow: First Monte Carlo, Miss P. Dalil and Mr. Schroder 1, Miss Morgan and -Miss Johns 2, Mrs. Evans and Mr. Elkington 3; second Monte Carlo, Mr. and Mrs. Tunncll. Among those present were: Mesdames G. Rose, J. Rose, F. Clarke, A.
