PENWOMEN'S CLUB.

PAGEANT OF PICKWICK. An address on Charles Dickens' Pickwick Papers was delivered by the Rev. A. B. Chappell on Friday afternoon, at the Penwotnen's Club. "The Pickwick Club," said the speaker, suggested to him the idea of a pageant. It was spectacular, sometimes instructive and always more or less historical. Dickens had a theatrical mind.

Mrs. Carr Rollett presided and thanked the speaker for his address. Miss Alice Watson played a piano solo. A "Current Events" discussion was held earlier in the afternoon, the following subjects being debated: The Black Sea Question; The Rearming of Germany; and State Art Unions.
