JUBILEE CELEBRATED.

KINGSLAND METHODIST GUILD. An important function held last week in. connection with the golden jubilee of the Kingsland Methodist Ladies' Guild was a hostess afternoon. The gathering took place in the Jubilee Hall, New North Poad, and ladies from all parts of the city and suburbs were present. Mrs. Heape, president of the guild, presided. A pianoforte solo was contributed bv Miss Ryan, songs by Mrs. Ken Posser, Miss Bartleet and Miss Maida Davidson, and elocutionary items by Mesdamcs Matthews, Goudie, T. Clark and Miss Olpliert. Rev. S. Griffith, a former minister, gave an address. The jubilee cake, decorated with fifty candles, was cut. Tli* candles were lighted by Mrs. A. W. Page, extinguished by Mrs. Partington, and the cake cut by Mrs. T. Hodgson, all three ladies being foundation members of the guild. Mrs. Page presented the guild with a framed photo of the foundation members of the guild.
