Old World Revivals In Modern Fashions.

A note from the Orient has been taken in designing ihe silver lame evening gown, the skirt of which has been caught up from underneath suggesting a costume from the harem. The gown is held up by a halter-like band which continues in straps to the Waistline at back. From Greece comes the suggestion for the floor-length gown of white silk jersey. The draped effect is accentuated by the wide set-in band at the Waistline, to which the shirred sections in front and back of the skirt are gathered. The flowing scarf completes the draped theme. Over the sheer black evening frock is worn a short peplum jacket of cut-out all-over embroidery.
