GOVERNMENT ORDERS.
COMPETITION FAVOURED. The Associated Chambers of Commerce recently considered the question of Government Departments being instructed to place orders with railway workshops. It was decided to express the opinion that private manufacturers should be given the opportunity to 3 tender against the railway workshops f6r ; the requirements of Government Departments.
