PIONEER'S FUNERAL.
Tribute was paid to the late Mr. Henry Wilcox at his funeral by a very large number of people in the Franklin district. Known as the "father of local bodies in Franklin," Mr. Wilcox was a pioneer much respected and his advice and counsel were largely sought on various occasions. He had served the public ill several capacities for 43 years. At his wish tbe funeral was taken past the Franklin County Council office—tlie scene of his many activities.
The services at the house and at the graveside were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Cowie. The pall-bearers were members of the Franklin Count)' Council.
