Famous New Zealand Surgeon Dies in London. POISON FROM FINGER-PRICK. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LOXDOX, June 24. The death has occurred of Mr. Henry Pliilbrick Xelson, of Harley Street, & former New Zealander and a famous lung surgeon who had saved hundreds of lives. His career was ended by a prick in one finger, suffered during a difficult operation in St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London. His finger quickly swelled and became septic, and his arm was amputated, but this failed to prevent the spread of the poison.
