FIXED EASTER.
EFFECT ON TRADE. The Association of British Chambers of Commerce, at the annual meeting in London, approved the principle of u fixed Easter, Lord Desborough moved a resolution reaffirming the association's views of the benefits which would accrue from a fixed date for Easter and urging the Government to use their influence to secure the adoption of a perpetual 12 months calendar. 'T was speaking to a distinguished member of the drapery trade recently," he remarked, "who said that he would rather have, a fixed date for Easter than 1/ off the income tax. I do not know whether he was exaggerating."
