SHOW AT NEWMARKET.
FIVE HUNDRED ENTRIES
Although "canaries were the dominant species, , there; were finches and parrakeets from Australia, Java, South Africa, South America and Great Britain amongst the 500 birds entered in the Newmarket Canary and Cage Bird Club's championship show at Newmarket to-day. Of special interest to canary enthusiasts was the Border fancy section, as this particular variety is new to the Dominion. The prize-winning birds, imported Iroin Scotland, are of the same ®t°d\, that secured the Challenge Cup at the Crystal Palace Show in London. Results were: — CANARIES.
