REPLACING OTTAWA.
Action Taken by British Board of Trade. CONSULTING INDUSTRY. British Official Wireless. (Received 1 p.m.) RUGBY, June 10. In a Parliamentary answer, the President of the Board of Trade, Mr. Walter Runciman, announced that preliminary discussions, with a view to a revision of the Ottawa agreement with Cana'«i, would begin shortly. The Association of British Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of British Industries and the National Union of Manufacturers, as well as-, bodies representing particular industries, had been invited to furnish observations to the Board of Trade. Mr. Runciman added that the question of similar consultations with industry in connection with possible revision of Ottawa agreements with other parts of the Empire did not arise at present.
