MURDERER'S REGRET.
REMORSE AND WARNING. SYDNEY, June 15. When he went to the gallows this morning for the murder of Norman Stead in a Darlinghurst garage»on February 10, James Massey left a statement for publication expressing deep regret at the pain, dishonour and sorrow he had brought upon his wife and father and mother, and at the terrible bereavement in the family of the man he had murdered. He added: "I pray that my desperate positi'on and poor reparation may prove a warning to the youth of my age not to neglect those things that count for Christian life and conduct."
