NORTHERN CLUB

In glorious weather this club staged two events, a junior time trial of 51 miles and a senior handicap of 19J miles. The senior event/ attracted 23 starters and competition was very keen. In the junior event first place, was taken by Ronald F. Midigon, time 15.40 oft 1.0; second place, A. Wallace, 1.0, 17.32; third place, O. Tucker, 1.5, 17.50. Fastest time, R. Madison. LYNNDALE CLUB. The Lynndale amateur cs'clists were the quests of the Takapuna Club, when an 11Jmile junior and a 22J-mile senior race were held. Junior results:— A. Broad (Takapuna), 6. The Papatootoe Cycle Club conducted two events over the Wyllie Road circuit, ft two-lap 7J-mile junior event, and fourlap 15-mile race for the seniors. Twelve juniors competed, and in a good sprint for home between three middle markers L. Knott got there from G. Eyre. In a great go for time honours F. Glendenning just beat W. Bayley. llesult: —• L. BEACH HAVEN CLUB. A race held by the Beach Haven Club resulted :—D. Patten (scr) 1, J. Perry (5.0) 2, J. Marris (3.0) 3. Fastest time: D. Patten, 68.25. The winner set a new course record and wins the French Cup. LADIES' CLUB. The Auckland Ladies' Amateur Cycling Club conducted a seven-lap handicap at the Mount Albert course. Detailed results :— Miss Louis Arrol (50s), 23.16 I Miss Kathleen McGeeliin (scr), 22.30 . 2 Miss McGechin made fastest time. THAMES CLUB. A large field faced the starter for the IS-mile road race on Saturday, In perfect conditions. The sprint to the line resulted in .T. Marshall beating J. Russell by a wheel, with L. Bethel close up third. The winner registered fastest time, 43.45.
