EMPIRE DELEGATES.
CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE.
BRITISH PARTY COMING.
The British delegates for the conference of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire, which is to bo liehl in Wellington in October next, are due to arrive in Auckland by,the Aorangi from Vancouver on Sunday, September 27.
The conference will be opened in Wellington on Friday, October 2, and that day the delegates will attend an official Government lunch. The presidential address will be given that afternoon. The business of tTie conference will take three days, extending from October 5 to October 7. The visiting delegates will then tour New Zealand and on returning to Auckland will spend two days here, when special arrangements will be made to entertain them. It is expected that between 200 and 300 delegate's will attend the conference, which will be thoroughly representative of the Empire. This is the first occasion for the conference to be held in New Zealand, and the second time that it has been held in the southern hemisphere, the previous .occasion being at Capetown in South Africa.
