LONG WAY OFF.
TASMAN AIRSHIPS. German Zeppelin Official Knows Nothing. COMPATRIOT'S STATEMENT. United Tress Association.—Copyright. (Received 11.30 a.m.) BERLIN", June 12. Questioned concerning the hint given by Mr. L. Cr. Brundahl, Leipzig Fair Commissioner at Sydney, in an interview at Wellington, New Zealand (as reported in the "Auckland Star" last night) regarding an airship service between Australia and the Dominion, a high official in the Zeppelin Company states that this is his first intimation of it. He added that such a plan would only be practicable in the far distant future, because Germany does not possess the necessary airships. Moreover, if one was ovdeved there were not, at present, means to building it because the workshops were fully engaged in the construction of LZI3O for the North or South Atlantic route. Nothing was known of the possibility of an airship flying to Sydney on that city's 150tli anniversary.
