THE SUM OF HAPPINESS.
(Sent in by Betty Radley, 41, Church Street, Ponsonby,) Here is a sum for all of us, It's life itself that sets it. Now find the answer; thera's reward For each of us who gets it. First, add some courage and some heart To folks bowed down by care. Divide the troubles of a friend, Take on yourself a share. Subtract a little from the sorrow Someone's going through. And multiply a hundred times The kindnesses you do. The answer to this simple sum You'll never find by guess. You've got to work it out to find That the total's—Happiness. A happiness that comes to you, And sinca it's earned, it's real and true. —Copied.
