The 'Tublic and Preparatory Schools Year Book" for 1030, published by 11. F. \V. Deane and Sons, contains over 1000 pages of detailed information concerning schools, their staffs, curricula, fees, boarding and spoils facilities, and scholarships. In addition, much information is given about the qualifications required for entry to Universities and Colleges, the Army, Navy and Air Force, Civil Service, Colonial Service, and the various professions, commerce, and miscellaneous occupations. The book is the official publication of the Headmasters' Conference and the Association of Preparatory Schools. Some thirty schools in the British Dominions are eligible for membership of the Headmasters' Conference, those in New Zealand being Auckland Grammar School, Christ's College, Waitaki, Timaru Boys' High School and Wangamii Collegiate School.
